Our club brings together people who share an appreciation for Irish Setters. Our members include longtime breeders and exhibitors, as well as Irish Setter owners and people who are simply interested in learning more about this beautiful and versatile breed.
Our Love for the Irish Setter
Irish Setters are known for their beautiful red coats, athleticism, intelligence, and outgoing personalities. For those of us who share our lives with them, however, there is much more to appreciate.
They are affectionate companions, enthusiastic participants in activities with their families, and dogs with a rich history in both the show ring and the field.
The Irish Setter Club of Southern California is committed to supporting and promoting the breed while providing opportunities for members to share their knowledge, experience, and friendship.
Club Activities and Events
Throughout the year, our club participates in and supports activities that bring Irish Setter owners and enthusiasts together. Specialty shows are an important part of our club activities and provide an opportunity to celebrate the breed, support exhibitors, and enjoy time with fellow Irish Setter enthusiasts.
Our club also participates in regional and national Irish Setter activities. The Irish Setter Club of America is the national parent club for the breed and works with local Irish Setter clubs throughout the country.
A Community for Irish Setter Enthusiasts
One of the greatest benefits of a breed club is the opportunity to learn from one another.
Whether you have lived with Irish Setters for decades or have recently discovered the breed, connecting with other owners can be an invaluable resource. Our members bring many years of experience with Irish Setters, including showing, breeding, training, health, and simply living with these wonderful dogs.
